The most generic approach is to record statistics for an extended period, then use least-squares method to plot a graph predicting future growth. But you'll need several months data to make this a valid technique for long term forecasting, and it doesn't take into account changes in the business. Prediction is an inherently risky business anyway, but this is as good an indicator as you're likely to get.
