    Hi all,

When I was creating a database on Solaris 2.6 and Oracle
version is 8.1.5 .
I faced the following problem. When I saw the Cause &
Action .

27146, 0000, "post/wait initialization failed"     // *Cause: OS system call failed
// *Action: check errno and contact Oracle Support

And the other error which is associated with this is ORA-3114. This may be becoz of lack SGA . Is it becoz of some semaphores settings in /etc/system or something else?

Pl. help me out in this issue.

            TIA
            Giri
