As I understand for a non-interactive, or "silent," install a response file
is required.
There are seven response files (one for each install type and for each
category) in Oracle8i CD-ROM installation
(cdrom_mount_point_directory/stage/Response/) but I do not think that the
response files are supplied with the patch installation.
Maybe it is possible to create one but it might be not easier than getting
xWindow :)
