You can avoid running glogin.sql by starting your session with 'sqlplus /nologin' command and then issuing 'connect user/password' command. It always runs on our version.  What version are you testing with?

$ sqlplus /nologin

I am sorry but that is not a correct answer...
You can avoid running glogin.sql by starting your session with 'sqlplus
/nologin' command and then issuing 'connect user/password' command.
I encourage you to try it and post again if that does not work...
