No, system CANNOT use local management.

Check the Doc ID #93771.1 on metalink. It will tell you that you cannot use local managed tablespace concept on SYSTEM. But as of RBS, I think that you can use locally managed tablespace.

We have ORACLE 8i on SUN Solaris. I has been successful setup data and index tablespace use LOCAL management. I wonder can "system" and "Rollbak" tablespace use LOCAL MAnagement? If yes, can you give me a sample statement to do it?
