I'm not sure if Oracle still sells it: SQL*Net Async is what you're looking for.

You may want to think about ISDN. The PC can have a $30 ethernet card connected to the router. Run TCP/IP on the PC and you're live connection should cruise just fine.

Hi everyone,

This is for a friend of mine who does not have access to internet. He has application in VISAUL BASIC and the server is located at some other site. Right now they are imporing and exporting data through modem connection and connecting to the database at local site.

Question is "Is there any way that he can connect to the database directly from
Visaual Basic application to remote server?"

Thanks in advance, Received on Thu Feb 29 1996 - 13:55:24 CST
