YOu do need to make sure you have a bullet proof network to use this feature

I think one of the true issues/concerns here that the Oracle collateral does not cover is... what sort of band width price will you have to pay to use this 'feature' IF you don't set asside a separate NIC for DB to DB communication? This isn't a feature I'd want to attempt without a dedicated connection for replication traffic only.
