Is anyone out there using Oracle 7.0.16.6.0 for VMS? Have you got DEC TCP/IP Adapter as an option to load and build? I'd like to know whether this version actually came with a DEC TCP/IP Adapter. Oracle thinks not. Yes, or no, I'd like a response please.

TIA,
Leng.

The whole point is that I don't have DEC TCP/IP as an option. During the build prompt, my looks like this:

     Version 2 TCP/IP driver (Win TCP, MULTINET) [W/M/N] ?

That's why I said that trying to fool Oracle didn't work since D was not an option.

Yes, my Oracle 7.1.3 installation does have the DEC TCP/IP option, but not my only installation of 7.0.16.6.0. tragically missed out somehow.
