Do you mean overload?
manoj12, do you consider yourself to be a PL/SQL expert?

Overriding means - same method names with same arguments and same return types associated in a class and its subclass. Can we do this in Oracle?

How would you sub-class a package?
How would you perform a call to such a package/procedure?

The following is a link to the section on overriding in the Oracle 9i online documentation:

http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96594/adobjbas.htm#455868

And the following thread contains an example:

http://www.orafaq.com/forum/m/309210/43710/?srch=overriding#msg_309210

I will move this thread back to the pl/sql experts forum where it apparently came from.
