http:// URL through forms 10g [message #307791]

I want to pass the http url from forms to server.The web.show_document displays the output on the screen.I dont want to see the output screen on client.Only i want to send the URL from forms to server.

How can i pass the URL FROM FORMS?
Any idea about using webutil for this?

The server will take care of downloading the file or sending the output through mail.

The following URL save the report output into a file format at given destination.
I want to pass this url from forms 10g.
Web.show_document()passes the url but also shows the screen.

Googling 'web.show_document target _blank' gave me http://technology.amis.nl/blog/?p=1153 ... the Javascript in it looks helpful.

The link in the above document to metalink does not appear to work. Searching metalink with the above search phrase is also helpful.

There is documentation on the 'target' in the 10g Forms Builder help facility.
