I manually run sql statements (*.sql) in sql plus to create keys & indexes. I want to schedule a job at night to do this on 10g. Where to I store the *.sql files... packages, procedures, libraries or is it a external file to oracle? I manully recreate this db once a month which has 515 tables & ~32gb

IMO, it would be MUCH simpler if you ran RMAN immediately after the next manual rebuild.
Then on subsequent months, just do an RMAN restore.

What Operating System name & version?
Which Oracle version to 4 decimal places?

I'll look into rmon but I'm to naive to know what it does. I was looking at em/job library area to run this as a job and the job type would be sql script?
