Hi All,

i got a table with two columns having data type number(11,8 ).
when i load data from XMl file through informatica mapping, the zeros towards the right of the decimal get trucated.

for example
create table test1 (Latitude number(11,8),LONGITUDE number(11,8))

insert into test1 values (22.32345500,-11.32345000)

Actual output: 22.323455,-11.32345

for my requirment i need the entire value to be stored(including zeros to the rights).

expected OUTput: 22.32345500,-11.32345000

Thanks,
Sagar

you cannot store trailing zeros in a number field.

You need to format the field whenever you "present" the data.

You can present this in a view over the original table using to_char as Michael has suggested.
