I am trying to install ASM via DBCA before creating a DB and after installing oracle 10g on Solaris 10. This is a non-RAC and non-Clustered machine. But I receive an error saying 'ORA-29701: Unable to connect to Cluster Manager' - then I did #localconfig delete and #localconfig add - But the error remain same and during #localconfig add - It says
'ASM cannot be used until Oracle CSS service is started'

Please advice the fix! THANK YOU.
