Hi,

I logged into to sqlplus as scott/tiger and have created a table, but when I try to drop that table,it show table/view does not exist. Kindly help me out.

SQL> select table_name from dba_tables where owner ='SCOTT';

EMP
BONUS
SALGRADE
ORDERS
TEST

TEST_NORMAL7
EMPLOYEE1
SIDD_TEST

SQL> drop table sidd_test;
drop table sidd_test
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist


SQL> show user
USER is "SCOTT"

SQL> drop table test
2 ;
drop table test
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

The error does not come from the "drop table" itself but from a trigger on ddl or drop you have and (I assume) tries to log into a table that does not exist.

Check for this trigged in dba_triggers.
