Hi,

OEM status shows the AGENT UNREACHABLE for three configurations out of 14 configurations.

The error is given below.

EM Configuration issue. /opt/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1/intrl-diag-db.dgosvc-priv.com_diagint not found.

the above path is the oracle home path for the database and the agent is installed under /opt/oracle/agent10g.

Even the emctl status agent throws error. How to resolve this issue.

Plz, post the exact error message you get from 'emctl status agent'.

Hey Hristo,

After the day light saving time the agent is unreachable and after looking at the emctl status and setting the TZ status Iam unable to connect to the repository server database through sqlplus to execute the below recommendations by the oracle.

emctl resetTZ agent
Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g Release 10.2.0.1.0.
Copyright (c) 1996, 2005 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.
Updating /opt/oracle/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties...
Successfully updated /opt/oracle/agent10g/sysman/config/emd.properties.
Login as the em repository user and run the script:
exec mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn('intrl-diag-db.dgosvc-priv.com:3872','Etc/GMT+8')
This can be done for example by logging into sqlplus and doing
SQL> exec mgmt_target.set_agent_tzrgn('intrl-diag-db.dgosvc-priv.com:3872','Etc/GMT+8')

so help me out.The OEM runs on a separate server on which OMS is configured. When I tried connecting to sqlplus, I cannot able to connect as sysdba.

Since the DBA who configured OEM has left the job and I had joined monday. I am the only DBA and have to sort out this issue.

What error do you get when trying to connect with SQLplus?

Hristo,

I connected to the OEM and executed the query by connecting to the repository database by giving the OS login credentials and schema username(SYSMAN) and password credentials.

Now the statistics have changed.

Where as still I could not able to connect to the repository database through sqlplus.

The error is given below.
/opt/oracle>sqlplus "/as sysdba"

ERROR:
ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist

ERROR:
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified
The tnsnames.ora has the following entry.

EMREP =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = nessman)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = emrep)
)
)

Is there any thing to be coonfigured or looked into to resolve the issue.

Hi,

I solved the issue yesterday.I logged on to the OEM and executed the query. Now the statistics are up to date.

The password was mismatching..
