How much time does it take when you don't use the LOGON built-in? What does the TNSPING your_database (issued at the command prompt) say? How many milliseconds?

LOGON is the builtin of the forms 9i.This builtin only make the connection with the destination database schema.

Only this process(LOGON) is taking time.

After connecting to the database schema.its running smoothly.

Problem is only that, its taking time to connect the destination schema.once the connection is established its running smmoth.

Is there any parameter in application or database that we have to set?
