I did an upgrade on one of my Oracle 10.2 databases today and I'm not able to login that database from my Enterprise Manager Dataguard using my sys acct from which I manage all my databases.

My paramater file show the password exclusive value but I'm still not able to login using sys sysdba acct remotely, only on the local machine.

Found that I needed to recreate the pwd file. There is a parameter called [force]. I set that value to 'n' and I'm able to login remotely

thanks.

Can you please give me more details on this.
which parameter "FORCE=N" it is with ORAPWD file clause or it is separate INIT parameter.
