Hello all
I haven't worked on Oracle forms for the last 4 years and i am kinda lost. I am hoping someone can help me out.

I need to read through an XML document and display it on a Form.
Is it possible ? If so, please let me know how .

Thanks
leonard

Do you want to display it as a single (very big) item or as separate fields based on the information within the XML document?

Search this forum for 'xml'.

If you are using Oracle 10g or higher you can associate the XML with the database and do it at that level.

To use Oracle Forms then read the file using 'text_io' or 'utl_file'.

There are references to those keywords in this forum.

If you are using Forms 9i or higher have a look at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/webutil/howto_textio.html
