hi all

My database is on oracle 10.2.0.3.
im trying to apply my archives from my production server to cold server..
for that im having scripts.
but whenever im trying to do so...
its showing an error ora-00279....
scipt is as follows:
/root/mhot

su - oracle apply

umount /oraarch/archive/pay10g
~
......
and mhot script is as follows:
mount rsize=32768,wsize=32768,hard,noac 172.16.16.120:/oraarch/archive/pay10g /oraarch/archive/pay10g

................

so kindly help me out for the same...

ORA-00279: change %s generated at %s needed for thread %s
 *Cause: The requested log is required to proceed with recovery.
 *Action:  Please supply the requested log with "ALTER DATABASE RECOVER
           LOGFILE <file_name>" or cancel recovery with "ALTER DATABASE
           RECOVER CANCEL".

Your error has nothing to do with what you posted from your script.
