Hi,
We can get the ascii value for any character by ascii() function.
But how to get the char value from the ascii value.
I searched for that, i got char() function.
But it is giving error.
So please guide me...

It is not 'char' function; its name is CHR ('char' is a datatype name).
SQL> select ascii('A') from dual;

ASCII('A')
----------
        65

SQL> select chr(65) from dual;

C
-
A

SQL>
