Hi guys,

May i know the how to remove the '|' character in a column? I want to do a calculation for that column but i cant coz of the existing '|' character. I've use trim but still the result is the same. Any idea?

Hi,

Try using REPLACE function instead of trim
Quote:

SQL> select 'ORA|FAQ' col from dual;

COL
-------
ORA|FAQ

SQL> select REPLACE('ORA|FAQ','|','') col from dual;

COL
------
ORAFAQ

SQL>
