Hi,

Look at the below sample procedure:

1 CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE TEST456
2 IS
3 V_FILE BFILE;
4 V_FLAG BOOLEAN;
5 V_OUT VARCHAR2(20);
6 BEGIN
7 V_FILE := BFILENAME('SURESHDIR','TEST.BMP');
8 V_FLAG := (DBMS_LOG.FILEEXISTS(V_FILE) =1);
9 V_OUT := '';
10 IF V_FLAG THEN
11 V_OUT := 'NOT';
12 END IF;
13 DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE('FILE '||V_OUT||' EXISTS');
14 END TEST456;
/

Warning: Procedure created with compilation errors.

SQL> SHOW ERROR
Errors for PROCEDURE TEST456:

LINE/COL ERROR
-------- -----------------------------------------------------------------
8/1 PL/SQL: Statement ignored
8/12 PLS-00201: identifier 'DBMS_LOG.FILEEXISTS' must be declared

Let me know how to solve this error?

Thanks and regards,
Suresh.

Are you intend to use DBMS_LOB?

Please read OraFAQ Forum Guide before your next post.
