yes your data block is corrupted.but since you cannot mount your database hence cannot start block media recovery and hence nothing can be done at user's end especially when there is ORA-00600.
If you have metalink, contact and if not then reinstall oracle

Reinstalling will not change anything in block corruption.

To handle block corruption read Metalink note 28814.1, Handling Oracle Block Corruptions in Oracle7/8/8i/9i/10g.

If there is no note for your ORA-600 error then yuo have to call Oracle support.
But I found one note for this ORA-600 (note 337018.1) in a few seconds, you didn't search very well.

Michel

Why?
Block corruption means oracle internal error which is present with the current installation.
Reinstallation would be a fresh copy of oracle or to say a reincarnation of oracle.

Once a database block is corrupted, it is corrupted, reinstalling the software does not change anything to data block.

So you mean its the OS block corruption.
And yes oracle block is nothing but an OS block.

So its an hardware error....

Even if it is Oracle logical corruption. It is the same.
