As far as I can tell, killing a session is the only way to release locked records.

Yes, but in SQL Plus I can use command
SQL> select saddr,said,serial#,username,status from v$session;

How can I use the same command in Oracle Forms v9i procedure!

Regards!

No, because for access to data in table V$SESSION demands additional authorised
I need that, in case that mistake in programms occurs, samo records can stay locked

the user must not activate the same program again, because the old sassion lock records!

Can still some otherwise to unlock record??

Regards!

They are getting the message 'record locked by another user' aren't they? If so, get them to ring the help desk and get them to see who has the record locked and if it is by their old session then get the help people to kill the session.

David

Upd typo: 'How' instead of 'who', again.
