Hi,
"Packege specification and body are stored separately in the database.This enables you to change the definition of a program construct in the package body without causing the Oracle server to invalidate other schema objects that call or reference the program construct."
Above explanation is given in the pl/sql pdf.
But I am not getting advantage of storing specification and body seperately in the database.
Anyone can explain it in simple words...

What exactly don't you understand here?
YOu can change the body (that is the code of the procedure) without invalidating the procedure (outside the package) that calls the procedures of the modified package.
