As you've placed your question into the General OraFAQ Forum, which "general" area does it cover? Which "production" are you talking about? "Ticket/change request"? Should your question be moved somewhere else?

I mean to say that how the change requests are coming, and what ae the procedure to solve them. Can you explain by giving some example.

Then to understand it.
The rest depends on the content.

Hi Sunil,


production support-> Supporting(technical) the product(namely, Software) at client(one who uses the product) site after the product had been launched or delivered.

maintenance-> Maintaining the product(as name says).

Change Request: Nothing but once delivered the product, the client may ask some feature to be changed or modified, then they will send a change request to the development sites(usually called offshore), then the people at offshore will look at it, if they can do the required changes then changes will be approved and the new patches will be sent to the sites.

This is as per my knowledge. Smile
