You can't see hidden parameter through v$parameter.
If you want to know dynamic values query V$SGA_DYNAMIC_COMPONENTS: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14237/dynviews_2101.htm#sthref4012

You are not suppose to Work with HIDDEN parameters until ORACLE SUPPORT tell you to do that.
It could be harmful and pretty much dangerous for your database if you don't know about the parameters and there usage.

Arju,
We all (senior DBA) know this query, if we didn't post it this is because it is dangerous.
It is useless to know these parameters and values unless you have a specicic problem and support tells you what to get and what to set.

You don't help anyone with this but you put in danger many.

Regards
Michel

I didn't know about it...but then again: I'm not a DBA and I think Michel is right here. Fiddling with hidden parameters will cause you to loose help from Oracle Support.

I answered only to satisfy his requirement. Nothing else then that.

You already told about restriction of hidden parameter and scope of it in the prior topic before my previous topic of this thread.

Thank you.
