Dear Friends,

I faced a critical problem in Forms 6i.

I have some text boxes for getting input and new,save,search button also. Today I have modified some codes in When_validate_item trigger.

I compiled and created FMX file also.

I didn't modified in any button triggers.

But while clicking the Search button the form will be closed immediately. Why this is happening? Anyone have any idea?

The Search Button have this code's

if (:System.mode='Normal') then

set_item_property('load_station.query',label,'Executive Search');
message('Press Execute Search or Control+F4 to cancel',NO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
enter_query;
else
set_item_property('load_station.query',label,'Enter_search');
execute_query;
end if;

Thanks
Mano

Please, do not open a new topic for the same (or very close related) problem. Continue discussion (if any) in existing one.

:SYSTEM.MODE may be 'normal', 'enter-query' or 'query'.

Query mode indicates that a query is currently being processed. After it is done, form will be back in normal mode (so you don't have to do anything).

To exit the 'enter-query' mode, you'd have to cancel a query. Press the "cancel query" button (exit form).

Jak has good suggestion.

If that does not work, then try commenting out code till you find the line that is causing your form to abort.

I seem to remember having similar problems a while back. Are you perchance running your forms against and unsupported version of the database?

Hi,

I deleted previous fmx file and compiled full. Then recreated fmx file and replace the current also. But still i can't able to search any queries. Not a single command button. i have 10 tab pages and in all tab pages i have search button. this contain already i mensioned block (See above). Whenever i try to search in any tab page immediately it's getting closed.

What to do for this?

Anyway to set :system.mode='Normal' when opening form.

Thanks

Mano

Try using Ctrl-Shft-k (compile All) instead of the good old Ctrl-k (Compile) and then the Ctrl-t (Generate).
