Hi ,
i want to write a procedure which should execute on every monday morning at 8 AM .......
can anyone tell me how to achieve that......?

Depending on your database version (which you didn't mention, although it is suggested in the OraFAQ Forum Guide), starting with Oracle 10g you might use DBMS_SCHEDULER (instead of DBMS_JOB, as it provides some extra functionality).

If it is just to execute a procedure "every monday morning at 8 AM" dbms_job is far easier to use.
But yes, it is worth to have a look at new scheduler, at least to know it.
