Hi friends,
I have to kill a session ,for that i run this query...
select sid, serial# ,b.LOCKED_MODE, object_name from user_objects a, v$locked_object b, v$session c
where a.object_id = b.object_id and b.session_id = c.sid and a.object_name='TABLE_NAME';

i got output as
            SID         SERIAL#     LOCKED_MODE OBJECT_NAME
--------------- --------------- --------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
            401           16267               3 TABLE_NAME

then i run this query...
exec sys.dba_sudo_session.kill_session(401,16267);

and i got output as
BEGIN sys.dba_sudo_session.kill_session(401,16267); END;

*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-20102: Session is already killed
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBA_SUDO_SESSION", line 15
ORA-06512: at line 1

Elapsed: 00:00:00.07

MY PROBLEM IS AS ITS SAYING Session is already killed..I M NOT ABLE TO PROCEED FURTHER...
i.e. the session is not getting killed.
what to do for killing this session...

Thanks and Regards

This is YOUR procedure and not Oracle one.
Ask the one that provided it to you.

Kill the underlying OS process that called it.

How do you know the session is not killed?

My guess is that it is "marked for kill".
