Hi All,

I have an Excel sheet which is based on a pre-defined Template.I have to populate
specific tabs in the excel sheet based on the query's output. In the Excel sheet i attached, based on the query,i may either populate the page on HOME tab or Test Price Tab.

Can this be done using PLSQL?

Please let me know if my question is not clear.

Regards
Srini..

It is not a PL/SQL problem, it is a VBA (Visual Basic for Application, the Excel programming language) one.

Actually, I think this has a place in the Pl/Sql forum.

if you search for OWA_SYLK, you should find a package that will let you write out from Pl/Sql in a format that Excel will read.

Does OWA_SYLK support multiple sheets excel workbook?
And does it exist outside Forms family?

Michel

There's several versions of OWA_SYLK available for download from AskTom as Pl/Sql packages.

I've never tried to get it to do multiple Tab pages, so I can't comment on that. Hopefully our OP will download it, test it and get back to us.
I'm not holding my breath though,

SYLK is a very limited file format. Multiple tabs are not possible, I'm afraid. But it is a rather robust option.

Another option would be to connect from Excel to Oracle and put a different query on each tab page. I'm not a big fan of ODBC but it might work.

Yes, this is what I said, it is a VBA question.
(VBA is the language based on VB and allows to write Excel/Word/... macors/programs.)
It is easy with it to connect to Oracle, and fill the cells you want, in any sheet, with any SQL query using ODBC.
