I have granted a select privilege on a table to hr schema being in scott.
then I have granted a procedure to hr which has a task to delete some row on the table to which I have granted the select privilege . will he delete the rows based on the procedure?

please give me the answer

It depends on the way you defined the stored procedure. See Using Invoker's Rights Versus Definer's Rights (AUTHID Clause) in PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference.

By the way, the SELECT privilege does not have any significance in this case (it will behave the same without it).
