Hello there

I am new to this forum and also in Oracle forms development.Can anyone plz help me in telling that how can I generate a report directly into excel format by pressing a button in oracle forms.

Needing an early response from anyone.

Hi Nahian

One option would be to use mod_plsql to generate the report in html, which can be output using an excel mime type to display in excel. Use web.show_document to call the url.

You could also use 'utl_file' or 'text_io' or 'client_text_io' and write to a 'csv' file.
