Hi
I am learning RMAN. Question might be very basic but i need clarification.
This is my backupset list.
RMAN> list backup summary;

How to differentiate the rman backupsets. Here i have taken full database backup 3 times and i want to use the backup which is obsolete for recovery. how i can i force to use the particular set of backup for recovery.

You can use "until" clause just after the backup you want to use.
Or you can use "change" command to make some backup unavailable.

You could specify the TAG name in your restore command (ie. RESTORE...FROM TAG...).
