hi

How can the query be fragmented so that the splitted queries can be distributed among more than one sites?

I'm probably not the only person who is going to ask you to please clarify what you mean.

I have no idea what you are asking. Can you be more precise in describing what you are trying to accomplish.

For a job to be completed it needs some input datasets which may not be on a single site. To retrieve the input datasets a single query will be issued. What i need is to split this query so that each subqueries can fetch a fraction of input datasets from various sites

Use a partition view across database link (if site means database).

In which case, the anser is No.

If you want to use one query, it'll just have to select across a range of database links and query all the remote tables.

In a sense, it will do what you are asking, as each query across a Db link spawns a child session at the remove db, that handles selecting the data at that end, but that is all behind the scenes stuff.
