Hi All,
I am trying to populate the data by using

Quote:

insert into <table_name_first>(col1,col2,col3,col4)
values (select col_b1,col_b2,col_b3,colb4) from
<table_name>@agorap9.world)

the problem I am facing is that in table_name@agorap9.world there are 100 records but they are not populating into table_name_first.

If the problem is because I am using dblink? Please suggest.

Regards
Ashu

Hi,
I suggest you to read the documentation (available eg. online on http://tahiti.oracle.com/) before starting using features not yet known to you.

SQL Reference
Chapters 10-19 SQL Statements
INSERT
syntax of the multi_table_insert clause

1/ Your syntax is wrong
2/ Can you select?
3/ Read OraFAQ Forum Guide
4/ Post your Oracle version

Regards
Michel

Which was? Maybe it will be useful for others, you are surely not the only to make this mistake.
