hi all , iam trying to be oracle certified professional ( OCP )
and i setup oracle 10g on my computer,in the login form (iSQLplus) when i enter user name hr and password hr and leave connect identifier empty , the login process success and this phrase show
" HR@orcl ".
the problem is : when i enter in the connect identifier " orcl "
which is my service name , i have this error
ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect descriptor

I WANT SOME HELP PLEASE , AND I WANT TO KNOW WHAT IS PLSEXTPROC
ALTHOUGH MY SERVICE NAME IS ORCL

Have you noticed the "ignore all messages by this user" link in the upper right corner of of every post?
You'll never know how many folks who regularly answer questions will NEVER see future questions/posts by you.

Do you know even the basics of net-iquette?
Do you know that posting in all-caps (using only capital letters) is considered yelling/shouting and it is considered to be very rude?

and the answer of my question is :
you must use static IP not dynamic IP(DHCP) Razz
