Hi All,
Is there any alternate to dbms_lock.sleep() for getting some delay in a program.

Not that I can think of, nor can I think of any reason why anyone would want that. I'd program the delay - if really really necessary - in the front end, not the database side. Be very careful when you want that kind of anti-performance. Most people want to get as much done in as little time as possible. Wink

You might have a chance if you look at a Java Stored Procedure though.
