Hi

I used Forms6i and today installed Forms10 .
Forms6 installed in c:\orant and forms10 in d:\orant

i copied TNSNAMES.ORA from c:\orant\net80\admin into
d:\orant\network\admin
but when i connect the folowing error occured :

ORA-12560 : TNS :protocol adapter error

What happens when you copy SQLNET.ORA as well?

I suggest searching this forum for 'tns_admin' and using this environment variable to point to the 'tnsnames.ora' file that you wish to use with all of your Oracle products.

Forms 10 and Oracle 10 are quite happy using same 'tnsnames.ora' file as used by Oracle 7.
