Hello,

For the purpose of this question I am using a random number for pga and sga settings.

In 10G if the work_area_size is set to AUTO. pga_aggregate_target set to 100 mb
sga_target set to 100 mb

Total available ram on the server 1 gig.

Even though the work area is set to auto does the target size setting mean that the pga and sga cannot use more than 100 mb each?
