Hi there,
I've created a materialized view like this:
create materialized view pls_gl_differences_v
  build immediate
  refresh on demand
  as
Select je_headers.Name,
       je_headers.doc_seq .......

What I would like to know know is what I would need to do to update the view. I understand that you need to update it afterwards as I have read in the various documentation but just a little confused on what the exact syntax would be?
Thanks

for a view created as REFRESH ON DEMAND, you would do this:
BEGIN
  dbms_mview.refresh('view_name');
END;

See here for details of DBMS_MVIEW
