Im trying to rebuild an old 8i AS server and am having trouble with the P4 solution.
So far I have done
* the patch install (oracle patch 1507768)
* renamed all occurances of symcjit.dll
* changed the orapram.ini file to reflect the JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS to -nojit ....
SO ... now i attempt to run it from the OUI with the source being the products.jar within the win32 folder ... no dice.
I attempted to run the setup from within the WIN32 folder ... no dice
I continually get the GetValue Exception error.
I then go into the inventory folder and grab the log files from the installer and I find the following in the log where it fails.
Key = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SubKey = SOFTWARE\ORACLE\iAS Install
Value = Install Source
Query Exception: GetValueKeyNotFoundException
Query Exception Class: class oracle.sysman.oii.oiil.OiilQueryException
*** Cancel Dialog: The specified key was not found while trying to GetValue ***
If anyone out there has a suggestion, I would love to hear it. It seems like it just can't find the source files.
