Recenly there is a huge bottleneck with the CPU, when i run the ADDM, i found the following informative messages.

Consider not using the compression option for RMAN jobs. Alternatively, consider slowing down RMAN activity, or scheduling RMAN jobs when user activity is lower.

Always Schedule your backup when there's minimum activity on the database.

How many channels have you open during backup ? Reduce th enumber of channels.

Also consider MINIMIZE LOAD option. Look up the doco for details.
