I have an application software running in a hospital...Sometimes while issuing DML from different floors of the hospital, some users face hanging their interfaces.(because, more DML execute same tables)..I want to know the way to find out locked TABLES...I want to know all possible ways regarding locking involving tables and to gather statistics about those lock...

unindexed foreign keys often cause locking issues.

You may not be encountering actual "locking", but harder to find enqueue waits.
Are the tablespaces involved dictionary managed or locally managed?

anacedent,
Internal organization of database is well-organized...database is 10g..so no dictionary management; RAC, ASM has been used...and the problem is application specific...how can i gather information about locking from Enterprize manager?
