Dear Experts,

I have 4 buttons in the developer 10g forms as:

1. "First Record"
2. "Next Record"
3. "Previous Record"
4. "Last Record"

in the Button 2(When_button_pressed) i have written (Next_record)
it's complied successfully and working properly.

in the Button 3(When_button_pressed) i have written (previous_record)
it's complied successfully and working properly.

in the Button 4(When_button_pressed) i have written (Last_record)
it's complied successfully and working properly.

BUT.
in the Button 1(When_button_pressed) i have written (First_record)
it's not complied successfully and not working at all.

Note: i used the same command(Written in Button-1) in developer 6i it worked successfylly , but not working in developer 10g.

Can any one help me what will be the command to go to the First Record, pls?

Thank you.

Kamal Hossain

Just use the FIRST_RECORD Built-in for go to the first record in your WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED trigger.

Dear mr. souman,

I did the same thing FIRST_RECORD under when_button_pressed trigger. and i mention it also in my previous request.

But it does not work in develdoper 10g

but it works in developer 6i.

Other navigation like Previous_record, Last_record,Next_record working in developer 10g but i dont know what happend in FIRST_RECORD.

Thank you.

FIRST_RECORD still exists in Oracle Developer Suite 10g so - it just has to work.

"Not compiled successfully" isn't very descriptive. Which error did compiler return? Was it ORA-, FRM-, something else?
