Dear Experts,
I was using oracle 9i(Windows).It was running fine. But After installing Oracle client 9i, my existing database is not running. I have installed the client in same computer where Oracle 9i database was running. During installation of client it asked to stop service 'Oracle Service<SID>' and 'OracleOraHome90TNSListener';stopped those.

Pls tell me how can I recover my database.

Thanks in Advance.

YOu mix all things.

1. You can install Oracle Server/Client on some machine.
2. During Client install NO NEED TO STOP Oracle Server Services
3. There is nothing to recover.
4. You should startup or start Oracle Service again through "NET START" command line or SERVICES.MSC.

Taj
