hi guys,

I need some guidance for installing oracle 10g in my home pc for learning purpose.
My system configuration:

256MB RAM
40 GB hardisk
Windows XP professional

Is it ok for installing 10g.
And what Edition shall i able to install and also will be usefull for me. plz guide me....

Can be ok. Just install and test and see performance.

Hi,
Yes you can install but may be it is running slow...so add more physical memory(RAM) atleast 512mb.

Check documentation. In enterprise edition there is more features available that you don't usually get in other edition.

Hi,

YOu have license to use Enterprise Edition.
Express Edition is free for use.

Limited Option with Express Edition compare than Enterprise Edition
