Hello,

I'm trying to make a PL/SQL package to access and retrieve some data from TestDirector. These data will be used in my Oracle DB.
The only way I have to access TD (TestDirector) is by those API´s. TD offer a COM Object based collection of APIs.

How can I access those APIs using PL/SQL?
(In VBA and VBS is easy, just use CreateObject(host))

TD API documentation. [http://javachip.org/Tutorial/TD%20Tutorial.pdf]

I just need a direction, I´m kinda lost here.

Felipe.

I´ll create a .vbs file bridge the communication between oracle DB and TD API. This .vbs will be runned by a pl/sql function.

@other people: Would using the C API be useful here or should felipe be using JDeveloper or Forms to act as the vehicle to communicate to the Oracle database and this TestDirector thing?

The problem as I see it is that the PL/SQL will be running on the database which may not be on the same machine as the TestDirector API.

Well, TestDirector has a conection API. I'm using it in my .vbs (Windows Script Host platform). But it isn't good, I need to call that .VBS using some ID as parameter, then its connect to my DB and to TD API.

Thanks David,

Felipe

I read some of the guide that you referenced. I can see some opportunities for my own work. What I want to know is what features you intend using and what information you need to get out of it. Why do you need to access the Oracle database?

It's because I have a Oracle Application Express running in my Oracle DB's. That application need to query some data from TestDirector. Just some defects information.

I am moving this question to APEX. IF you get no reply in 3 days use PM to get me to follow it up.
