Hello there,

We have two Solaris 5.9 servers. We are planning to install Oracle 10.2.0.3 RAC Database instance on these servers. The System admin told that we have already installed veritas founadtion 4.1 MP2 on these servers. What is this veritas foundation 4.1 MP2? What is the use of this?Is it a veritas clusterware? Please explain me , because I'm new to this.

In oracle documentations they are asking to install Oracle clusterware first and RAC then. Will Oracle 10g(10.2.0.3) support this veritas foundation 4.1 MP2?Is there any mismatch between Oracle clusterware and veritas foundation 4.1 MP2?

I'm just confused about this environment. Please help me someone by explaining the initial step to do the RAC installation on this environment.

Thanks in advance,

When in doubt, check the vendor's documentation:
