Dear Folks,

i'm from sql server background, we are converting our sql scripts to oracle to support our application oracle also.

i'm getting problem with nvarchar2(3200) in to oracle.
so please guide me in this regard

My question is what is the equialent datatype of nvarchar2(3200) datatype to clob

like

alter table tabe021 column_023 nclob

yes that should be an nclob column

SQL Error: ORA-22858: invalid alteration of datatype
22858. 00000 -  "invalid alteration of datatype"
*Cause:    An attempt was made to modify the column type to object, REF,
           nested table, VARRAY or LOB type.
*Action:   Create a new column of the desired type and copy the current
           column data to the new type using the appropriate type
           constructor.
